The L-size mesh stopper went inward; the external stopper (a part intended to retain the thread outside) detached. A May 2025 entry describes a trapped chipless design (a silicone-covered wire device replacing the solid chip). Mr. Okada initially assumed a routine retrieval problem, then learned that the attached thread, longer than 20 cm, had also disappeared.
