What happens: stiff cord options
The OK Prostate Chip is a small device placed in the urethra (the urine passage) to act on the prostate. A stiff cord is a firmer cable attached behind the chip to transmit force with less folding. In an entry published in March 2022, Mr. Okada compared a rigid custom cable with a wire-supported prototype. The prototype contained approximately 0.4mm wire alongside the ordinary parallel cable. A stiff cord order lost its incompatible stopper in April 2022
In an entry published in April 2022, a customer requested a semi-long ceramic vibrating chip with a thicker cable and cable stopper. A springy stiff cord loop caused pain during February 2025 testing
In an entry published in February 2025, Mr. Okada tested shape-memory wire (wire that returns toward its original shape) alongside cable. It supported a retaining loop (a curved section intended to help the chip stay positioned). The retaining section measured 70mm or more.
