In May 2018, a customer reported that even a 25cm thread had not prevented the small end piece from disappearing inside. Their subsequent ring experiment reportedly prevented inward movement for about 6 hours.
The chip still came out during urination, although the customer said the ring prevented a fall into the toilet. Mr. Okada thanked them; his earlier advice had concerned a longer thread.

In January 2021, Mr. Okada reported a serious problem during tests of an extended stainless-wire connection. With surplus wire inside the urethra, the leading chip travelled into his bladder and became difficult to retrieve.

In February 2021, a customer asked whether a thicker stainless-wire connection was possible. Mr. Okada lacked 0.6mm wire, so his reply described testing 0.7mm instead.
He reported prostate pain after about 4 hours. For all-day wear, Mr. Okada advised against wire measuring 0.5mm or more.

The penis ring connection changed when silicone tubing replaced stocking material
In October 2023, Mr. Okada introduced a side-entry urethral holder (an external support for the chip's connection). He discontinued that holder's cotton-pearl ring connection and replaced it with 2mm silicone tubing around the glans rim.

In August 2025, Mr. Okada announced nitinol (shape-memory metal wire) connections as an option alongside nylon thread. The change from nylon cost an additional ¥2,000 (about $13 at ¥156 = $1, rate as of 2026-09-04) excluding tax, with a maximum straight length of 35cm.
He described external-loop versions, including one whose loop could disappear if its tubing slipped off. Mr. Okada advised people concerned about wire breakage to wait before trying the new connection.

In November 2025, Mr. Okada reported that a nitinol loop could spring off the penis head easily. The 20mm–30mm loop discussed in that entry belonged to a proposed internal arrangement.
