What happens: screw chip attachments

Titanium screw chips kept a rigid front and flexible rear attachments

An entry published in June 2021 described a titanium prototype with a twice-twisted leading chip and two screw attachments. Mr. Okada considered an assembly made entirely of auxiliary screws too soft in its action on the prostate. The leading approximately 30mm therefore remained rigid, while the following screws could change direction.

The diary described the sphincter (a structure that grips the chip) engaging different narrowed sections. Mr. Okada favored this combination of a rigid front and flexible rear pieces.

Screw chip prototypes addressed difficult passage around a bend for beginners

In an entry published in August 2021, Mr. Okada attributed beginners' difficulties to an approximately 90-degree urethral bend before the sphincter. He tested a front-pulling concept involving a tip hook and stainless-steel wire, but his large screw assembly still met substantial resistance. A smaller SS attachment was planned, 1mm narrower than S.

A separate rear chip was intended to limit inward travel in the bulbar urethra (the location described for this rear component). Its external thread formed part of his response to excessive inward movement. Mr. Okada emphasized that this rear chip needed to remain detectable from outside the body.

Curved auxiliary chips initially required spacing fixed before shipment

An entry published in December 2023 introduced plain, flat, and twisted curved auxiliary chips for the tail (a silicone tube carrying connected chips). Their published lengths were 40mm+-1mm, 45mm+-1mm, and 50mm+-1mm. Widths were S=8mm+-0.5mm, M=9mm+-0.5mm, and L=10mm+-0.5mm.

The curve made sliding along the tube difficult, unlike a straight attachment.
